Our Top Priority

Ensuring Mission Memorial Hospital will quickly have an on-site CT scanner purchased and installed.
At some point in our lives the need for exceptional health care will impact virtually everyone, even though we often don’t think about it until there is a crisis. Technology has helped save the lives of tens of thousands of people in B.C. With the right equipment, disorders can be diagnosed and treated easier and faster.
These life-saving diagnostic tests can and should be performed within our own community so that you, as a patient do not have to endure:
Our current initiative is to raise money to purchase CT scanning equipment for Mission Memorial Hospital. Our medical staff have identified a CT scanner as something our community hospital urgently needs. This equipment is vital to the ability of our doctors to offer you and your loved ones the very best in medical diagnosis, treatment, and care.

Help the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation finish raising $1,300,000 for the CT Scanner

A Computed Tomography machine (CT scanner) is a 3-D computerized x-ray imaging device that rotates around the patient to take successive cross-sectional photos or “image slices.” These image slices (tomographic images) can then be stacked by the computer into a precise 3-D rendering of the physical and the physiological processes of your body. The CT scanner helps doctors to diagnose and treat a variety of ailments by providing more accurate details than what is possible with conventional x-ray machines.

The benefits of CT scans far outweigh any associated risks. CT scans have helped revolutionize diagnosis and treatment and have dramatically decreased the need for exploratory surgeries and other potentially risky invasive procedures.

Your donations will support the purchase of necessary CT Scanning equipment for the Mission Memorial Hospital. Help us provide the most up-to-date medical equipment and the best possible health care to you…our patients.
