What Happened at Mission Memorial Hospital in Mission BC?
In January a sprinkler pipe froze and broke causing significant water damage to the MMH ER in Mission BC.
Evaluation revealed other issues that need to be addressed.
Fraser Health recognized the opportunity to improve our ER physical space
- Remediation of flood damage will require a lot of repair. It will take some time.
- The ER in Mission BC needed upgrades – it was too small; the waiting area was small, lacked privacy; its design was outdated
